The website is under construction, but for the time being, I figured I'd write a little something... or maybe a big something, because hey – it's been a while.
A lot has happened and I apologize for not keeping everyone updated. I took the time out to really focus on my education and I finally have enough time to update everyone. Make sure your seat is comfortable enough for you to read this entire thing because I could barely stand after typing this entire thing. But anyway...
First off, I FINALLY GRADUATED! After four long years of studying at MSM, I completed my BM degree in Jazz Composition on the 12th of May. It’s been an amazing ride, and I’m thankful for all the people that I’ve met and the teachers who have taught me all that I know. I would not have been a member of the J-MUSIC Ensemble. I also would not have furthered my skills in digital production if it weren’t for Koastal Kings Records and the teachers that taught me about MIDI technology and fundamental synthesis. I would not be able to write jazz the way that I do now, either. But now that this is a new chapter in my life AND my career, it’s time to apply all of what I’ve learned and make some big moves, as well as some significant changes.
The biggest one is probably this: I took down all of my releases on Bandcamp and deleted my account. Rhythmic Jargon, AMENDS TO BROKEN PROMISES, and G!BR4LT4R are no more... at least in their entirety. However, I took some of my best tracks, and I made them into a compilation, so be on the lookout for more details involving that. The collection will release under KRINGUS Media. More on that later.
The next big change is that I parted ways with Koastal Kings Records. Due to consistent squabbles over social media with labelmates over issues outside of music, I've been pressured to push myself past my mental limits, and I can no longer find it in myself to continue making music and set aside some of our differences. I cannot and will not tolerate or work with labelmates that persist in releasing such negativity. Let me be clear - one person out of the seven in the label fueled this decision; therefore I have no beef with everyone in KKR. As for the projects I previously confirmed, the two EPs and the album slated for release on KKR will now release under my label and publishing company, KRINGUS Media, with a release date in early to mid-2018.
In that lies another announcement: I've finally made the decision to make my independent record label/music publishing company called KRINGUS Media! KRINGUS Media will serve as an outlet to sell all of my album releases and sheet music to all of my compositions and arrangements that I've made for a variety of ensembles. It's summertime and marching season is right around the corner, so be on the lookout for some new arrangements and some amazing compositions and some NEW releases to roll out within the next couple of months!
I'm also working on a lot of other new projects aside from these hip-hop projects. You can also expect some jazz records too, but you'll find out more about that the more time goes on. The project I'm okay with announcing is that I plan on making an album full of collaborations! So if anyone is out there that has heard my instrumental work, feel free to reach out at and let's get to work! I've already been working with a couple of artists, so the album is in progress AS I WRITE THIS POST!
Another one of these changes is that I gave myself a total brand makeover. New logos, new website look, new avatars and banners, new everything! It's been a huge thing because I've been undergoing massive changes and moments of "I like that, let me sit on it a couple of weeks" only to not vibe with it. Thus explains my website being under construction for a while and my various inactivity on my social media, primarily my Facebook, Tumblr, and SoundCloud pages. But I'm finally excited to stick to the look that I have in mind, and I can't wait to get started on everything as I've truly intended to.
I've hinted at this for a while by way of my banners on social media, but now I can finally say this: MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL IS GETTING A FULL REBOOT! I was waiting until I graduated to announce this. You can expect all kinds of videos – covers, rants, challenges, playthroughs, and vlogs – starting NEXT MONTH! HOLY CRAP!
Also, I now have time to dedicate towards doing lessons! If you're interested in learning jazz composition or music theory, I can give those out via Google Hangouts or Skype. I can also give trumpet lessons in person in New York City and North Jersey. My e-mail is email@example.com - please e-mail this address for all musical inquiries from now on.
I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life and share it with all of you guys. I appreciate each one of you.
Your brother in music,Trash Prince Kringus
